November 4th, 2014 General Election Highlights

The 2014 Election and Campaign Finance Calendar and the 2014 Candidate's Guide are available now on the State Board of Elections website. www.elections.state.il.us

Petition filing period will be Monday, June 16, 2014 through Monday, June 23, 2014 for Independent, New Party and East Joliet and Lockport Heights Sanitary District Candidates.

Last day for established political parties to fill a vacancy when no candidate was nominated at the General Primary Election is June 2, 2014.

Last day for established political parties to fill a vacancy in nomination that occured on or after the Primary and prior to certification is August 21, 2014.

Absentee and Early Voting Report

Due to the implementation of the Optical Scan Voting System for Early Voting, the Absentee and Early Voting totals for the November 4, 2014 General Election will be available for viewing on the next business day following:

  • The last day of Early Voting (October 20th - November 2nd)
  • Provisional Count (November 18th)
