County Board Records
The Will County Board consists of 26 members, 2 each from 13 districts, and represent the unincorporated areas of Will County. Will County operates under the County Executive Form of Government, whereby the County Executive is elected at large and is responsible for day to day administration and the County Board is the Legislative body responsible for policy matters.
The Will County Clerk is the Official Clerk of the County Board keeping a record of the official proceedings of the Board including all resolutions, ordinances and documents referenced in the Board's proceedings. The County Board meets the third Thursday of each month and upon notice of special call by the Chairman of County Board. All proceedings of the County board are compiled and kept on permanent file in the Will County Clerk's Office. Monthly meetings minutes are available on the below links. The Will County Clerk is the official keeper of the County's corporate seal. The County Clerk attests signatories on behalf of the County and affixes the corporate seal. The County Clerk attests certified copies of County Board resolutions, ordinances and contracts.
