Will County Clerk, Nancy Schultz Voots, wishes to inform voters that the General Primary Election will be held on Tuesday, February 2, 2010. Available options to voters are:

Early Voting – Must show government issued ID. Voting is available at the Will County Clerk’s Office or one of the specified Early Voting Local Clerk sites in which you reside. You must live within the city, village or township limits performing voting because the Local Clerks are only supplied with ballots for the residents that live within their limits. Early Voting is offered beginning January 11th through January 28th.

Absentee Voting – Due to Senate Bill 2022 all persons who are registered voters in Will County are eligible to cast an absentee ballot without specifying a reason they will be absent from the polling place on Election Day. Absentee voting is offered in-person at the Will County Clerk’s Office beginning December 24th through January 9th and January 29th through February 1st. Grace Period Voting - For individuals who were unable to register to vote or change their address prior to the close of registration on January 5, 2010. Grace Period Voting is only available in the County Clerk’s Office beginning January 6th through January 26th. Individuals must also vote at the same time. They may not vote at the polls on Election Day.

Voting at the Polls – Election Day voting at your designated polling place. Polls are open 6:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. Refer to your Voter Registration card for polling place.

The County Clerk’s office is located at 302 N. Chicago Street, Joliet. Office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, and Saturday 9:00 a.m. to noon. Due to Senate Bill 1801 the Will County Clerk’s Office will be open Saturday, January 16th and Sunday, January 17th from 9:00 a.m. to noon. Monday, January 18th from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturday, January 23rd and Sunday, January 24th from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
