November 3, 2020 Presidential General Election
MARCH 24, 2020 First day to circulate petitions for independent and new political party candidates.
JULY 13, 2020 First day for petition filing period for independent and new political party candidates.
JULY 20, 2020 Last day for petition filing period for independent and new political party candidates.
AUGUST 3, 2020 Last day to file a petition for public question.
AUGUST 5, 2020 First day for any registered voter within the confines of the United States to make application by mail or in person for an official vote by mail ballot.
AUGUST 17, 2020 Last day for local governing boards to adopt resolution or ordinance for binding public questions to appear on the ballot.
SEPTEMBER 3, 2020 Last day a person may file a Declaration of Intent to be a write-in candidate with the proper election authority.
SEPTEMBER 24, 2020 First day for election authority to mail an official ballot to voters upon request.
SEPTEMBER 24, 2020 First day for early voting at the office of the election authority and temporary locations.
OCTOBER 6, 2020 Last day for registration or transfer of registration within the offices of the election authority.
OCTOBER 7, 2020 First day for grace period registration, voting or change of address in the office of the election authority or at a location designated for this purpose.
OCTOBER 18, 2020 Last day for voters to register to vote through the State Board of Elections website.
OCTOBER 19, 2020 First day of early voting for counties that have early voting at permanent polling places other than the office of the election authority.
OCTOBER 26, 2020 Last day for any voter who is a member of the U.S. service or their spouses, as well as voting age dependents, nonresident civilians, and citizens temporarily residing outside the U.S. to make application for an absentee ballot.
OCTOBER 29, 2020 Last day for the election authority to receive application by mail from any registered voter.
NOVEMBER 2, 2020 Last day for early voting.
NOVEMBER 2, 2020 Last day for any registered voter to make application in person for a vote by mail ballot.
NOVEMBER 3, 2020 Last day for grace period registration and voting.
