Early Voting at 20 sites throughout Will County starts Monday, March 18
JOLIET – Will County Clerk Lauren Staley Ferry announces that 20 sites throughout Will County will be open for Early Voting starting on Monday, March 18.
These sites are in addition to the Will County Clerk’s Office, 302 N. Chicago Street, in downtown Joliet, which opened for Early Voting on Feb. 21.
The additional Early Voting locations, also referred to as Temporary Polling Places, cover Will County. Early Voting sites are: the City of Braidwood, the City of Naperville, Crete Township, Fountaindale Public Library in Bolingbrook, Frankfort Township, Homer Township, Lockport Township, Troy Township, the Village of Channahon, the Village of Elwood, the Village of Frankfort, the Village of Manhattan, the Village of Mokena, the Village of Monee, the Village of New Lenox, the Village of Plainfield, the Village of Romeoville, the Village of Shorewood, Washington Township, and Wheatland Township.
“Our goal is to make it as convenient as possible for citizens to participate in our democracy,” Staley Ferry said. “With Early Voting at 20 locations plus the County Clerk’s Office, residents have many options for casting their ballots if they cannot get to the polls on Election Day.”
The County Clerk this year added the Village of Shorewood to her roster of Early Voting sites. In addition, Fountaindale Public Library in Bolingbrook agreed to build weekend and evening hours into its schedule at Staley Ferry’s request.
Hours of operation for Early Voting vary depending upon the location. A complete list of these sites, their exact locations, and their hours of service can be found by visiting thewillcountyclerk.com and clicking on the Early Voting icon at the top of the page.
