Remaining Vote by Mail and Provisional ballots to be processed
through tabulators during Provisional Count scheduled for April 16

JOLIET – Will County Clerk Lauren Staley Ferry invites candidates, political parties, and qualified civic organizations to observe as remaining Vote By Mail and Provisional ballots are processed through election tabulators during what is called Provisional Count.

Provisional Count will be begin at 9 a.m. Tuesday, April 16 at the Will County Clerk’s Office, 302 N. Chicago St., in downtown Joliet.

Teams of Election Judges representing both the Republican and Democratic parties will process:

  • Vote by Mail ballots received after March 31 with a postmark on or before April 2, 2019.
  • Provisional ballots cast on Election Day by voters at all 304 precincts.

Results will be posted online after Provisional Count on April 16 at thewillcountyclerk.com.

Each political party, candidate, and qualified civic organization is entitled to have pollwatchers present.  Pollwatchers, however, must have a Pollwatchers Credentials form to present to Election Staff at Provisional Count. The credentials can be found at thewillcountyclerk.com.
