VITAL RECORDS ELECTRONIC REQUEST FORM

WILL COUNTY CLERK LAUREN STALEY FERRY ANNOUNCES VITAL RECORDS ELECTRONIC REQUEST FORM

JOLIET – Will County Clerk Lauren Staley Ferry is pleased to announce that her office is making it easier to request Birth, Marriage, and Death Certificates by completing a request form online.

The new Vital Records Electronic Request Form was recently launched on the Will County Clerk’s website, making it more convenient for qualifying individuals to complete and submit their requests. The online form also allows requesters to attach copies of pieces of identification with their submissions.

Requesters can use their mobile devices to snap a picture of their identification, complete the form, and then submit the entire package.

“My goal has always been to streamline the delivery of services to the public at every access point,” County Clerk Staley Ferry said. “This request form should greatly speed the process for people who are seeking copies of Birth, Marriage, or Death Certificates.”

Previously, the public had to download the form from the website, complete it, scan it, and then email it back to the Will County Clerk’s Vital Records Department with identification.

The new form can be accessed at thewillcountyclerk.com by clicking on the individual links for either Birth, Marriage, or Death Certificates under the website’s Vital Records section. There is a button under each certificate labeled Electronic Request Form

Once the request form is completed and the appropriate fee is provided, the Will County Clerk’s Vital Records team will send a certified copy of the certificate through the mail.

Other options for requesting these certificates can be viewed at thewillcountyclerk.com.
