WILL COUNTY CLERK’S OFFICE TO PROVIDE
ELECTION-RELATED SERVICES ONLY ON ELECTION DAY
JOLIET – Will County Clerk Lauren Staley Ferry announces that, per County Board Resolution 19-374, the Will County Clerk’s office will provide only election-related services on the day of the Presidential Primary Election, which is Tuesday, March 17, 2020.
County Clerk’s staff will not be available to process certified copies of vital records, accept back tax payments, issue marriage or civil union licenses, conduct genealogical searches, respond to e-mails or other non-election services on that day.
The Will County Clerk will resume full services at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 18.
“While all of our public services are important, my entire staff must be available on Election Day to address the volume of election-related service calls we receive during the Presidential Primary Election,” County Clerk Staley Ferry said. “I appreciate the public’s understanding and cooperation on this important day.”
